Graphic Design

This page features selected projects from my Graphic Design and Illustrator courses, where I explored how visual design and typography communicate meaning. Each project began with sketches and evolved into digital compositions created in Adobe Illustrator. These works allowed me to experiment with design principles, strengthen my technical skills, and learn how to communicate ideas visually with creativity and precision.

Word Meaning Project

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, pencil sketches

For this project for my graphic design course, I was challenged to represent the meaning of five action words using only typography. Starting with hand-drawn sketches, I explored how movement, spacing, and letterform distortion could express each concept visually. Using Adobe Illustrator, I refined the final designs for Bounce, Climb, Fade, Stretch, and Tumble, focusing on composition, balance, and the relationship between form and meaning.

City Zoo Logo Design

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, pencil sketches

This project, for my graphic design course, involved creating a custom logo for a fictional city zoo that highlights its beloved giraffe exhibit. I developed the concept and name, then explored multiple layouts and shapes through sketches before refining the final mark in Illustrator. The goal was to create a logo that felt friendly and memorable while reflecting the zoo’s connection to animals and the community.

Coronado Island Travel Poster

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator

Created as part of my Illustrator course, this travel poster was inspired by the coastal charm of Coronado Island, California. The goal was to use vector illustration techniques to capture a sense of place through clean lines, simplified forms, and balanced composition. I focused on color harmony, proportion, and depth to evoke a calm, inviting travel aesthetic.
